“Education can only be enhanced with community; education is not a building, but a lifestyle and an environment.”
It is finally here! The moment that we have anticipated…
We anticipate “The Brick Laying Day”; as it will give Learners , Educators, Parents and the Community a unique opportunity to physically lay bricks for the New School, creating an everlasting link with the School.
Years of planning have finally materialised with the foundation of the Johannesburg Muslim School being laid on the 24th July 2015. This foreshows the beginning of a new era for JMS.
Work began on the site early in 2014, with the clearing of the site. Putting up the boundary wall followed suite. The project has been broken into several phases.
Upon completion, the New School will feature over 50 classrooms, specialist laboratories for the Sciences, a computer centre, library, cafeteria, Salaah facilities, auditorium, multi-purpose sports hall, soccer and cricket field, athletics track, cricket nets, netball, volleyball, and tennis courts. This environment will allow for the holistic development of our learners. The new school will cater for Pre-School to Grade 12, all on one premises, with a male and female learner separation.
With the surface bed being thrown, we are currently, busy with the foundations of the A Block, bringing it up to ground floor level. This will be followed with the brickwork of the ground floor level.
JMS School invites the public to it’s official brick laying event.
We look forward to meeting you and humbly request your Duas for the success of this project.
